Per Facebook request here is a little insight into my editing process...hope this helps you!

(A large mug of hot coffee or a tall glass of iced coffee, depending on the season, is essential!)

I use Photoshop CS6 for all of my editing, workflow as follows:

* I shoot all my images in RAW so the first step is to "develop" them, I adjust the white balance and exposure as needed

* Crop and resize the image

*remove unwanted elements (stray hairs, blemishes, distractions)

* Slightly brighten eyes and soften skin, I do this less often all the time because my style of shooting/lighting actually helps produce great catch lights and softens the appearance of the skin

* Slight color and contrast boost, easy does it!

*dodging (selective lightening) and burning (selective darkening) as desired

* Sharpen, watermark, save and share

My goal in post process is to  bring out the best in the images while being efficient and true the subject.

I believe lightly and tastefully retouched images never go out of style unlike dramatic color tints and manipulations.

Always avoid over editing. The best editing advice is to get the image right in camera...shoot more, edit less!
