A Personal Post | The Pursuit of Everything

A question to ask myself, what am I pursuing?

When the alarm goes off at 3:45 am...

Am I accepting another of day "just making it through?"

Or am I pursuing all the riches of Jesus?

Am I working to honor my Savior by using the skills with which he has uniquely blessed me?

Or am I working to meet my own or other human standards?

Am I valuing those around me and aiming to be a positive influence?

Or am I thinking of how to make my day easiest?

Am I easily annoyed or discontented?

Or am I patient and grateful?

Am I complaining about the weather or worrying about vanities of life?

Or am I reveling in the beauty of creation?

Am I allowing my thoughts to be scattered to the wind?

Or am I concentrating on all that is good and of eternal purpose?

Am I searching for "happiness?"

 Or am I striving for "joy?"

Am I pursuing "the world?" Then I am seeking nothing.

Am I pursuing Jesus and His passion for my life?

Then, yes, I am pursuing everything.

He IS EVERYTHING worth pursuing.
